Eye Makeup is a fun and exciting way to express yourself and draw attention to the eyes and make yourself noticeable. It is available in almost any color that would ever be wanted and is very affordable. The trends are always changing on which colors are popular such as the “Smokey Eye Makeup” look but really eye makeup can be used however one would prefer.

Eye makeup can be used to compliment the eye color by using a similar shade or to accessorize an outfit by using a matching color. It is a great way to express yourself or how you are feeling and can be changed daily or even more if wanted. There are many ways to apply it depending on what the occasion is or what lok you are going for. A light subtle shade for a professional look or a bright flashy color for a night out.

The current fad on applying it is actually using a few colors and almost creating a collage on the eyelid for a beautiful effect that will catch the eyes of others. This is done by starting with the darkest shade near the lash on the inside and a darker shade near the outer eye with a medium tone covering the remaining area all the way to the brow. Then the light shade also can be applied in a line along the lash on the bottom lid as well creating an art around the eye. By adding a liner and a mascara to make the lashes appear fuller and longer it will get noticed by everyone that you interact with.

Eye makeup can really change the whole appearance of the wearer in a wonderful way and used as an accessory to an outfit. Since it is so easy to do and change it can be changed daily or if a look is really liked could be worn a similiar way on a daily basis. It can be easily removed so if it is applied and not liked it can just be wiped off and started again until the perfect combination is achieved. The Smokey Eye Makeup is one of the more popular styles currently. Everyone wants to be noticed at times and this is a fun and affordable way to do so.

If you are looking for the best deals on makeup especially smokey eye makeup products checking online first is a great way to save money. There is a simple reason for this, and that is that you are buying directly from the whole-seller and skipping out the middle man. How does this affect the price you ask? Well it is quite simple, online retailers do not have to pay the normal costs associated with owning and running a store. Things like lease costs, maintenance, and employee salary can be kept to a bare minimum. This directly translates into great savings on all products for consumers online.

A smokey grey can make add an illusion of youth to ones face. A smokey purple can make brown eyes pop. A smokey black eye can be sexy but sweet. Basically, if your looking for attention, smokey eyes is the way to go. Read the following tips to achieve a brilliant Smokey Eye Makeup:

-1. Always make sure you start out with a clean, moisturized , primed eye. This means wiping off all excessive make up, taking a skin cream and applying it, and when your eye is dry apply a little bit of concealer, or Urban Decay Primer Potion (16$ ulta.com). We Prime the eye so the shadow has something to stick to, and it stays in place.
-2. Start with a light base coat, if your doing a smokey black, perhaps start with a light grey, and blend up ward. In the crease, add a dark black and brush and lightly stroke the black shadow up into the white. After this is done dip your brush back into the black very lightly and go back over the black, barely buffing it up into the white. This creates the dramatic smoke.
-3. Finish your eye off with liquid liner on the lash line and a bold mascara that will really make your eyes pop. Apply a few coats of mascara to the top lashes, and do the same for the bottom lashes. Adding a bit of gel liner on the water line will really make eyes stand out. Also, adding a shimmery white to the inner corner of your eyes will add definition.
-4. Lastly, go around your eyes with a small angled brush dipped in powdered concealer, and touch up the eye to make it look perfect.

Other tips when wearing Smokey Eye Makeup:

-Keep lips natural, and sweet.
-Keep cheeks fair, stay away from bold blushes , go with light pinks and peaches.
-Do not be afraid to get attention! These eyes are going to practically beg for it!

Now with all these helpful hints and tips your ready to hit the street and try out your new Smokey Eye Makup Look!

Smokey eyes can be a dramatic way to bring attention to your face. After all, the eyes are often the first feature noticed and the most memorable. To prepare for a smokey eyes look, realize that the end result should focus on the eyes, so all other makeup should be subtle; applying smokey eyes should bring attention away from all other features. Being overdone defeats that purpose.

Begin your smokey eyes look by carefully applying concealer, foundation, and blush. Follow with a non-distracting lip color. Don’t apply under-eye concealer yet; it tends to darken flaws. Prepare for a smokey eyes look with eye base. This can be concealer if the product is not made with oil but it’s better to choose a quality base made especially for eyes.

After your base has completely dried, apply the first shadow for your smokey eyes application. Select a flat, non-shimmer color, preferably light brown to beige. This eyeshadow should be applied from the brow bone down to the lashes and slightly above the crease. The shade should be harmonious with your skin tone and not overwhelming. Its purpose is to encourage blending with the other smokey eyes elements.

Line your smokey eyes in quality black eyeliner as you would typically line them for a dramatic effect. Then, mute (soften) with a clean beauty point, q-tip, or unused eyeshadow applicator. Follow over the eyeliner with black eyeshadow. Soften, and gently smudge the black eyeshadow application with half of a dry cotton ball or special brush. Blend by applying gray or brown eyeshadow over the entire eye as desired. A typical preference would be from the crease of your eye down to the lashes.

To finish smokey eyes, use thin eyeliner on the under eye area, being sure to sweep away any stray eyeshadow as needed with a dry, clean makeup brush. Thinly apply black eyeshadow over the liner and smudge gently. Carefully add a narrow layer of your gray or brown eyeshadow just under the liner. After dusting away any stray eyeshadow, apply under-eye concealer as needed. Follow with quality mascara-Voila! Easy smokey eyes.

Eye makeup can be used to define and highlight your eyes so they stand out at first glance. If you have light-colored eyes, a smokey look can be especially dramatic, and very appropriate for an evening look. Achieving the Smokey Eye look is all about color and application technique.

The makeup items you will need to have in order to apply your Smokey Eye Makeup are an eye pencil, a q-tip or spongy eyeshadow applicator, eyeshadow, and mascara. Eyeliner and eyeshadow should be in the smokey blue or gray color family, and mascara should be black for a bold look. Before beginning, be sure that eyebrows look well-groomed. Tweeze stray hairs that are under the natural brow line.

Remove all eye makeup with eye makeup remover or soap and water. Pat eye area gently with a towl until dry. Next, take your eyeliner pencil and draw a line from just beneath the middle of the bottom lashes, towards the outer corner of the eye. Draw a line along the top eyelid just above the lashes from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner. Next, take your q-tip or spongy eyeshadow applicator tip, and use it to smudge the eyeliner softly. There’s no wrong way to do this, but it’s all about blending and softening so that the final look is dramatic but not harsh.

Take your eyeshadow, preferably two shades of gray or blue. Take the lighter shade and apply to the entire eyelid and blend well. Take the darker shade and apply along the top eyelid just above the lashes, from the middle of the eyelid towards the outer corner, and blend well. Apply more dark shadow from the outer corner of the top lid and along the crease above the eyelid, till the middle (above the pupil). Blend well once more.

Lastly, apply two coats of mascara to both the upper lashes and bottom lashes. Enjoy your new Smokey Eye look!

Most women love makeup because it adds to their appearance and gives the face a more polished look. Trends come and go, but then come around again sometimes, such as the smoky eye makeup application that was so popular in the 30’s, again in the 60’s, and now in the present. The look is really for evening when out dancing or partying because it would look rather ghoulish if worn during the day. The harsh hungover look is definitely not in style and never will be. Before applying your own smoky, sultry eyed look, these are the items to have on hand. As you will see they are inexpensive and quite effective.

*Charcoal black pencil with a smooth wide end.
*Foam wedges
*Cream shadow in charcoal gray or velvet black
*Black mascara
*Light colored face powder

When ready to experiment with your own Smoky Eye Makeup application, be sure the eyes are free from all makeup then start with lining the upper lid with the eyeliner pencil. Take the foam wedge and blend the color gently all over the lid. The next step is to line the lower lid, and smear it below the bottom lashes. Smooth with the end of the eye pencil, then apply a cream shadow to the eyelid and finish it with the black mascara on upper and lower lashes. Let dry. No matter what color your eyes are, you will give off a look of seduction. Add a dark reddish brown tint to your lips to complete the look, then powder the eyelids and entire face with a soft brush dipped in light colored face powder. Brush off any excess. This will set the makeup. If you do not do this you may find you will begin to have a little more smudging than you wanted, and in areas of the face you didn’t apply the makeup, such as on the cheeks. Before you leave the house, check your reflection in the mirror. Your eyes should stand out and you should look very sexy.
